Who Can Attend: Elementary Generalists

Whether you’re a classroom teacher or a music specialist looking to enhance your music program, come play with us!

Teaching classroom music as an Elementary Generalist can be a challenge.  Come and explore a creative approach that naturally integrates many elements throughout the K – 6 curriculum.

Join us for 35 hours of hands-on music, movement, and drama activities, and learn to connect literacy with music through rhythm, rhyme, and melody.

Participants will have a beginning recorder experience and the opportunity to use both pitched (xylophones, etc.) and non-pitched (drums, maracas, etc.) instruments.

Participants will need to provide their own Soprano recorder (Aulos or Dolmetsch)

If you do not have one you can approach Long & McQuade (music store) for the correct books/recorders/teacher's guide needed.

Participants will be charged a $30 "Materials" fee for the binder and the course notes that the Instructor will be providing (This is included in the registration fee of $450).
