We are pleased to offer this first Congrès virtuel d'été pour les éducateurs/Virtual Summer Conference for Educators A wonderful collection of presenters from across Alberta and Canada including a handful of classroom teachers, will be sharing ideas and expertise in support of French language instruction.

This online learning opportunity features four 75-minute sessions. During the first session from 8:30 – 9:45 am, Joan Netten will share the strengths of her Neurolinguistic Approach, a new paradigm for acquiring a foreign language. The closing session from 1:30 – 2:45 pm, presents Sylvie Roy sharing some thoughts on the Culture of Teaching French Immersion and French as a Second language in Alberta.

The other two sessions; 10:00 – 11:15 am and 12:00 – 1:15 pm will offer a choice for participants of seven or eight sessions covering a wide range of topics.

We encourage school and division staff to jigsaw the day with one or two teachers attending as many sessions as possible, allowing for the comparison of notes afterwards. Most sessions will be available for viewing in the two weeks following the conference, offering the chance to review the recordings, and to start your 2021-22 school year with this tremendous learning opportunity!
