Big Ideas, Student Projects and Current Issues – project AGRICULTURE
Explore big ideas like democracy, consumerism, diversity, sustainability, histories, innovation, technology and globalization through agriculture! Find out how to use the project AGRICULTURE curriculum-based program in your junior and senior high Social Studies and Science classrooms. Access examples of sources and stories, engage with interesting and quirky trivia questions, find Alberta farm and farmer photos and videos and explore student-created projects that help your students make connections between big ideas in curriculum and agricultural issues and challenges.
This session will provide practical suggestions for using the project AGRICULTURE program with your students as project-based, or simply, activity-centred learning – and within in-class or remote learning contexts. Download any of the project/activity teaching guides, students learning sources, assessment tools and vocabulary supports or receive free print versions of any of the resources.
